CM Dhami Approves Special Helicopter Supply of Ration to Disaster Victims in Dehradun District
Dehradun: District Magistrate (DM) Savin Bansal has fulfilled his commitment to the residents of disaster-affected Phulet and Chamrauli villages by delivering September’s food quota through a helicopter. This relief operation was carried out with special approval from Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, who directed officials to ensure immediate assistance to the affected population on a war footing.
Earlier, DM Bansal had walked 12 kilometers on foot to reach the cut-off villages, where he assured residents that food supplies would be arranged promptly upon his return to headquarters. Living up to his promise, around 17 quintals of ration were airlifted to the affected villages on Sunday morning.
The relief operation was coordinated under the leadership of Additional City Magistrate Apoorva Singh, while Special Tehsildar Chaman Singh, stationed at ground zero, received the supplies and supervised their distribution among local families.
The DM emphasized that the administration is committed to standing with every affected family and ensuring timely delivery of essential relief. Approximately 1,500 residents in these two villages had been waiting for September’s food quota, which could not be delivered earlier due to disaster-related disruptions.
With the ration now successfully supplied, the affected villagers have expressed relief and gratitude to the administration for swiftly honoring its commitment.
