CM Dhami Promotes Indigenous Products at Sahastradhara Market Visit in Dehradun
Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Thursday visited the bustling Sahastradhara Crossing market in Dehradun, where he interacted with shopkeepers and local residents. During his visit, the Chief Minister highlighted the importance of promoting indigenous products as part of the broader vision of building a self-reliant India.
Addressing the traders and people gathered, CM Dhami said that the adoption of indigenous goods not only strengthens the state’s traditional industries but also paves the way for new employment opportunities for the youth. He added that by supporting local products, citizens can contribute directly to preserving cultural heritage while boosting the economy at the grassroots level.
The Chief Minister also urged market associations and shopkeepers to prioritize cleanliness, ensure better customer convenience, and focus on systematic market management. “The government is continuously working to safeguard the interests of small traders and entrepreneurs while ensuring a business-friendly environment,” he said.
CM Dhami assured the shopkeepers that his government remains committed to their welfare and to creating policies that enhance both ease of doing business and consumer satisfaction.
Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi and Raipur MLA Umesh Sharma Kau accompanied the Chief Minister during the market visit, extending their support to the initiative and interacting with locals.
