Chief Minister Dhami Pays Tributes to Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri on Their Birth Anniversaries

Dehradun: On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami paid floral tributes to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, at his official residence. Remembering Bapu, the Chief Minister said that Gandhi’s timeless principles of truth, non-violence, and compassion continue to hold great significance in the present era. He emphasized that adopting the path of non-violence in daily conduct and nurturing compassion for humanity would be the most meaningful tribute to Mahatma Gandhi.

The Chief Minister also paid homage to former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri on his birth anniversary. He recalled that Shastri, through his historic call of “Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan,” instilled in the nation a spirit of unity, self-reliance, and self-respect. CM Dhami added that Shastri’s life, marked by simplicity, truthfulness, moral strength, and unwavering dedication to the nation, remains an enduring source of inspiration for all citizens.

Both leaders, the Chief Minister said, illuminated the path of nation-building with their values and ideals, and it is the duty of every citizen to follow their teachings in the service of the country.
