Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan Reviews Preparations for November 9 Main Event at FRI, Dehradun

Dehradun, Saturday: Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan conducted an on-site review of the preparations at the Forest Research Institute (FRI) for the grand main event of the Uttarakhand State Foundation Day Silver Jubilee celebrations, scheduled to be held on November 9.

During the inspection, the Chief Secretary held a detailed review meeting with officials from all concerned departments to ensure the flawless execution of arrangements. He emphasized that all preparations, especially those related to security, crowd management, and logistics, must be foolproof, keeping in mind the expected visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the state on the occasion.
Shri Bardhan directed the officers to ensure smooth entry and exit arrangements for the large number of attendees, estimated between 60,000 to 70,000 people. He instructed that a comprehensive traffic and parking management plan be put in place to facilitate the movement of citizens and prevent congestion in and around Dehradun city during the event.

He further stressed the need for inter-departmental coordination, adequate medical and emergency facilities, and public convenience measures to make the Silver Jubilee celebration a memorable and well-organized event.
Among those present during the review were Director General of Police Deepam Seth, Secretaries Shailesh Bagauli, Dr. B.V.R.C. Purushottam, Vinay Shankar Pandey, and Vinod Kumar Suman, Dehradun District Magistrate Savin Bansal, and Director General of Information Banshidhar Tiwari, along with other senior officers of the state administration.
