Jhanda Mela 2026: Uttarakhand CM greets people on sacred festival in Dehradun

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami extended greetings to the people on the occasion of Dehradun’s historic Jhanda Mela celebrated on the birth anniversary of Guru Ram Rai Ji Maharaj, highlighting its cultural and spiritual significance.

Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has extended his heartfelt greetings to the people of the state on the occasion of the historic Shri Jhanda Ji Mela held in Dehradun.

In his message, the Chief Minister said that the historic and sacred Jhanda Mela of Dehradun, traditionally celebrated every year on the auspicious birth anniversary of Guru Ram Rai Ji Maharaj, reflects the spirit of faith, devotion and humanity. The fair embodies unique traditions that have been preserved for centuries and continues to inspire people with its deep cultural and religious significance.

He said that the Jhanda Mela is not only a symbol of faith and devotion but also represents the rich cultural heritage of the state. The festival strengthens the values of mutual love, harmony and brotherhood among people.

The Chief Minister further said that devotees from different parts of the country and abroad visit Dehradun to participate in this sacred fair and seek blessings on the occasion.
