Dehradun, Saturday: Pushkar Singh Dhami held a public grievance hearing at the Chief Servant Sadan located in the Chief Minister’s camp office, where he listened to issues raised by citizens from across the state. Interacting directly with the public, he took their concerns seriously and ensured on-the-spot resolution of several cases.
The Chief Minister issued instructions for prompt action on matters related to roads, drinking water, healthcare, education, and financial assistance. He directed officials to resolve all public-interest cases on a priority basis within a defined timeframe, emphasizing that there should be no unnecessary delays and that regular monitoring of each case must be ensured.
He stated that the government’s objective is to make governance more sensitive, accountable, and transparent so that citizens can receive timely relief. Highlighting the importance of public hearings, he said they serve as a strong bridge between the government and the people, enabling quick resolution of issues while also improving administrative efficiency.
On the occasion, office bearers of the Uttarakhand Film, Television and Radio Association presented a letter of appreciation to the Chief Minister for implementing an effective and forward-looking film policy in the state. They expressed gratitude, noting that the new policy is helping Uttarakhand emerge as a major destination for film production, creating opportunities for local artists, technicians, and youth.
Under the Jan Jagran Abhiyan Samiti initiative, schoolgirls from various institutions presented creative posters based on 15 flagship government schemes. They expressed their appreciation for the benefits these schemes are providing to different sections of society. The Chief Minister praised their efforts, stating that such creative activities not only enhance awareness among students but also make them more sensitive toward social and governance-related issues.
He further added that the state government is continuously working in the fields of education, women empowerment, and youth development, and remains committed to the upliftment of all sections of society through welfare-oriented schemes.
Senior officials, including IG Garhwal Rajiv Swaroop, Additional Secretary J.C. Kandpal, Additional Commissioner Garhwal Uttam Singh Chauhan, and other officers from the Chief Minister’s Office, were also present at the event.
