Chief Minister Dhami Honours Meritorious Students, Says Youth Power Will Shape Uttarakhand’s Future

Pushkar Singh Dhami on Sunday participated in the Meritorious Students Felicitation Ceremony organized by Amar Ujala at Mukhya Sevak Sadan, located at the Chief Minister’s Camp Office. During the event, the Chief Minister felicitated meritorious students from across the state and extended his best wishes for their bright future.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said that students are the greatest strength of any society and nation, and the future of both the country and the state depends upon their talent, hard work, and determination. He praised Amar Ujala for taking the initiative to honour talented students, stating that such efforts not only encourage young achievers but also inspire other students to strive for excellence.
Expressing happiness over the outstanding performance of students in the Uttarakhand Board examinations this year, the Chief Minister especially appreciated the remarkable achievements of girl students.
Chief Minister Dhami emphasized that there is no shortcut to success in life. He said continuous hard work, discipline, dedication, and self-confidence are the true keys to achieving success. He encouraged students to dream big and work with complete commitment and sincerity to accomplish their goals.
Highlighting the importance of teachers and parents in shaping a child’s future, the Chief Minister said that educators and guardians play the most significant role in personality development and character building. He described teachers as the true architects of nation-building who not only impart education but also instill values, discipline, and a sense of responsible citizenship among students.
The Chief Minister further stated that the state government is continuously working towards reforms, innovation, digital learning, and providing quality education in Uttarakhand. He said that educated, capable, and self-reliant youth will play a vital role in realizing the vision of making Uttarakhand one of the best states in the country.
On the occasion, Dhan Singh Rawat said that the state government is giving special emphasis to quality education. He informed that around 28 percent of students scored more than 60 percent marks in board examinations, while nearly 12 percent secured above 75 percent marks.
The Education Minister added that under the National Education Policy 2020, students in the state are also being introduced to Vedic Mathematics, the Ramayana, the Mahabharata, the state’s culture, and spirituality. He also noted that Uttarakhand has secured a place among the top 10 states in the country in school education rankings.
Additional Secretary Banshidhar Tiwari and Amar Ujala Editor Anoop Bajpai, along with several dignitaries, were also present at the event.
