Special Intensive Revision Drive to Continue Till July 7; Citizens Urged to Cooperate

Over 1.33 Lakh Enumeration Forms Distributed; Voters Asked to Provide Latest Photograph and Mobile Number

Dehradun:
The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) campaign aimed at making the electoral roll more accurate, updated, and error-free has gained significant momentum across Dehradun district. Under the directions of the Election Commission of India, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) have been conducting door-to-door visits from June 8 to July 7, 2026, to distribute and collect enumeration forms, ensuring that no eligible citizen is left out of the voter list.

The campaign is being carried out on a war footing across all 1,882 polling stations in the district. BLOs are actively reaching voters in every Assembly constituency. The polling stations covered include 237 in Chakrata, 142 in Vikasnagar, 212 in Sahaspur, 236 in Dharampur, 214 in Raipur, 141 in Rajpur Road, 152 in Dehradun Cantonment, 179 in Mussoorie, 191 in Doiwala, and 179 in Rishikesh.

According to the District Election Office, by the afternoon of the second day of the campaign, 1,33,113 enumeration forms had already been distributed across the district’s ten Assembly constituencies, reflecting the rapid progress of the revision exercise.

The distribution of enumeration forms continued extensively on the second day of the campaign. In Rishikesh, the Tehsildar handed over an enumeration form to the Mayor of the Municipal Corporation, while in Vikasnagar, the Tehsildar supervised door-to-door distribution in the Karbari Grant area.

BLOs are also reaching remote and difficult-to-access regions. Enumeration forms have been distributed in far-flung villages such as Bijoon. In households where residents were unavailable, BLOs have affixed information stickers, enabling voters to complete and submit their forms within the stipulated time.

Electoral Roll is the Foundation of Democracy: DEO

District Election Officer Dr. Ashish Chauhan and Additional District Election Officer Abhinav Shah appealed to residents to actively participate in the campaign. They emphasized that the electoral roll is the foundation of democracy and maintaining its accuracy and integrity is a collective responsibility of all citizens.

They urged voters to cooperate with BLOs and submit their completed enumeration forms within the prescribed timeline to ensure that no eligible voter is excluded from the electoral roll.

2003 Electoral Roll Available Online

The District Election Officer informed that voters in Uttarakhand can search for their own names, or those of their parents or grandparents, in the 2003 electoral roll through the Chief Electoral Officer Uttarakhand’s website. Necessary information can also be accessed through the QR code issued by the Election Commission.

Voters from other states can check their names in the final SIR electoral roll through the Election Commission’s voter services portal.

ECINet App and ‘Book a Call with BLO’ Facility Available

Citizens who are generally unavailable at home during the daytime can use the ECINet App or the ‘Book a Call with BLO’ facility to connect with their respective BLOs. These services are designed to make the enumeration process more convenient and accessible.

July 7 Deadline for Submission

The District Election Officer stated that July 7, 2026, is the last date for filling and submitting enumeration forms. Citizens have been requested to keep a recent colored passport-size photograph ready and ensure that their updated mobile number is correctly mentioned in the form to help maintain an accurate and up-to-date electoral database.

With the objective that “No Eligible Voter Should Be Left Out,” the district administration and the Election Department are taking the Special Intensive Revision campaign to every household across the district, aiming to create a more accurate, transparent, and reliable electoral roll through active public participation.
