Dehradun: In view of the proposed VVIP visit to Dehradun district on June 12, 2026, the district police and traffic administration have issued a special traffic advisory to ensure smooth vehicular movement and maintain public safety. Several routes connecting Dehradun, Rishikesh, Haridwar, and Mussoorie will remain under a diversion plan during the VVIP movement.
Commuters have been advised to follow the designated alternative routes and cooperate with traffic personnel to avoid inconvenience.
Alternative Route for Vehicles Coming from Rishikesh to Dehradun
Vehicles traveling from Rishikesh and Bhaniyawala towards Dehradun city will be diverted from Bhogpur Tri-junction (Ranipokhri) via Thano Road, 6 Number Pulia, Sahastradhara Crossing, and Survey Chowk before entering the city.
Route for Vehicles Traveling from Rishikesh to Mussoorie
Vehicles heading from Rishikesh to Mussoorie will be routed through Bhogpur (Ranipokhri), Thano Road, 6 Number Pulia, Sahastradhara Crossing, IT Park, and Sai Mandir Road before proceeding towards Mussoorie.
Diversion for Vehicles Coming from Haridwar to Dehradun
Vehicles arriving from Haridwar towards Dehradun city will be diverted via the Bhaniyawala Flyover Service Lane, Doiwala Chowk, and Doodhli Road, entering the city through Kargi Chowk.
Route for Vehicles Traveling from Haridwar to Mussoorie
Vehicles moving from Haridwar to Mussoorie will be directed through Bhaniyawala Flyover Service Lane, Doiwala Chowk, Doodhli Road, Kargi Chowk, ISBT, Shimla Bypass, GMS Road, Cantonment Area, and Anarwala, before continuing to Mussoorie.
Route for Vehicles from Asharodi and Premnagar to Mussoorie
Vehicles traveling from Asharodi and Premnagar areas towards Mussoorie will be diverted via ISBT, Shimla Bypass, GMS Road, Ballupur Chowk, Cantonment Area, and Anarwala.
Route for Vehicles Going from Dehradun to Haridwar and Rishikesh
Vehicles leaving Dehradun city for Haridwar or Rishikesh will be directed through Kargi Chowk, Doodhli Road, Doiwala Chowk, Bhaniyawala Service Lane, Lal Tappad, and Nepali Farm Tri-junction towards their destinations.
Route for Vehicles Traveling from Mussoorie to Haridwar and Rishikesh
Vehicles coming from Mussoorie towards Haridwar and Rishikesh will be diverted via Kuthal Gate, Old Mussoorie Road, Sai Mandir, Kath Bangla Bridge, Kirsali Chowk, IT Park, Sahastradhara Crossing, 6 Number Pulia, Maharana Pratap Chowk, and Thano Road before proceeding further.
