Chief Minister praises Baba Neem Karoli Maharaj’s message of devotion, service and compassion; says spiritual cinema can connect younger generations with India’s cultural heritage

 

Dehradun, September 4, 2026: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami watched the spiritual film ‘Hanuman Ansh’, inspired by the life, devotion, service and spiritual journey of revered saint Baba Neem Karoli Maharaj, at the Centrio Mall cinema hall in Hathibarkala, Dehradun.

After watching the film, the Chief Minister praised its theme and the spiritual message associated with Baba Neem Karoli Maharaj and announced that ‘Hanuman Ansh’ would be made tax-free in Uttarakhand.

Chief Minister’s wife Geeta Dhami, Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi, MLA Pradeep Batra, office-bearers and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.

Baba Neem Karoli Maharaj’s Life an Inspiration for Society

Speaking after the screening, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami said that India’s saint tradition has always guided society towards truth, service, compassion and spirituality. He described the life of Baba Neem Karoli Maharaj as an inspiring example of this great tradition.

The Chief Minister said that Baba Neem Karoli Maharaj’s message of devotion, service to humanity, love and compassion remains highly relevant even today and has the potential to provide meaningful direction to society.

CM Dhami said Uttarakhand is not only known as Devbhoomi but is also a land of great saints and rich spiritual traditions. Kainchi Dham, associated with Baba Neem Karoli Maharaj, has emerged as a major centre of faith and spirituality for devotees from India and abroad.

He said creative efforts that bring the lives and teachings of spiritual personalities before the public can play an important role in connecting the younger generation with Indian culture and traditional values.

The film ‘Hanuman Ansh’ has been directed by Vishal Chaturvedi, with Shobhinav Sataiya and other actors playing prominent roles. The Hindi-language film was released nationwide on August 7, 2026.
