CM Dhami Reviews MoU Grounding of Uttarakhand Global Investors Summit, Issues Strict Directions

CM Pushkar Singh Dhami reviewed MoU grounding of the Uttarakhand Global Investors Summit, prioritizing spiritual zones, Ayurveda AIIMS and tourism-led investment growth.

A high-level review meeting was held at the Secretariat on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami to assess the progress of MoUs signed during the Uttarakhand Global Investors Summit and their on-ground implementation. The meeting reviewed the current status of MoUs, project-wise progress, existing bottlenecks and future action plans across various departments.

It was informed that a total of 1,779 MoUs worth ₹3.57 lakh crore were signed during the Global Investors Summit, out of which projects worth ₹1.06 lakh crore have already been grounded. The Chief Minister termed this achievement historic and said it reflects growing investor confidence in Uttarakhand, improved law and order, transparent governance and an industry-friendly ecosystem.

The Chief Minister directed all departments to fast-track the grounding process by ensuring swift resolution of project-level issues. Each department was instructed to appoint a nodal officer for continuous monitoring of MoU implementation. He further directed that if any policy amendments or simplifications are required, proposals should be moved promptly.

Emphasizing regular engagement with investors, the Chief Minister said that industry stakeholders should be continuously informed about the state’s Ease of Doing Business reforms, digital services, simplified procedures and investor-friendly ecosystem. He instructed officials to ensure timely decision-making, strict adherence to timelines and zero pendency in project implementation.

Boost to Tourism, Industry and Investment

The Tourism Department was directed to create a conducive investment environment in hospitality and hotel infrastructure, particularly in regions such as Pithoragarh, Kainchi Dham and other major tourist destinations. Officials informed that the department is working on an area-based focus policy for developing Special Tourist Zones across the state.

To strengthen industrial growth, the Chief Minister directed that monthly meetings of the “Udyog Mitra Samiti” be held in every district to ensure swift resolution of industrial issues and effective facilitation of investments.

Focus on Culture, Spirituality and Balanced Development

Highlighting Uttarakhand’s cultural and spiritual heritage, the Chief Minister directed priority action on the development of Spiritual Zones, construction of temple infrastructure in Bhararisain, establishment of an Ayurveda AIIMS, and promotion of institutions focused on Hindu Studies and Oriental Research. He also called for preparatory work for setting up a university based on the balance between ecology and economy.

Senior officials including Secretaries Sachin Kurve, Vinay Shankar Pandey, Ranjit Sinha, S. Adanki, C. Ravi Shankar, D.S. Gabryal, Forest Department’s Ranjan Kumar Mishra and Additional Secretary to the Chief Minister Banshidhar Tiwari were present in the meeting.
