CM Pushkar Singh Dhami Hoists National Flag at CM Residence on 80th Independence Day

Dehradun, August 15, 2026: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami hoisted the national flag at the Chief Minister’s residence on the occasion of the 80th Independence Day. Before the flag-hoisting ceremony, the Chief Minister, along with officers and employees present at the residence, collectively sang the national song ‘Vande Mataram’. Following the ceremony, Chief Minister Dhami unfurled the Tricolour and administered the oath of national unity to all officers and employees present.

On the occasion, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami extended his warm greetings and best wishes to the people of Uttarakhand on Independence Day. He paid his respects to the freedom fighters who sacrificed everything for the country’s independence and remembered the brave soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice in defending the motherland.

Chief Minister Dhami said that the freedom fighters and immortal martyrs had envisioned a strong, prosperous and self-reliant India. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country is moving rapidly towards realizing that vision. He said that fulfilling the Prime Minister’s resolve of building a Viksit Bharat (Developed India) requires every citizen to contribute with sincerity, dedication and commitment in their respective fields.

The Chief Minister emphasized that collective efforts and active public participation are essential to take the country to new heights of development. He called upon citizens to contribute towards nation-building and work with a strong sense of responsibility and dedication.

Speaking about Uttarakhand, Chief Minister Dhami said that the state government is working with full commitment towards the overall, balanced and sustainable development of the state. The government’s priority is to ensure that the benefits of development reach every region and every section of society.

He said that with the cooperation and participation of all sections of society, the state government is continuously working towards making Uttarakhand one of the best states in the country. Development, he added, must be inclusive and reach every part of the state.

Chief Minister Dhami said that Independence Day reminds every citizen of their duties towards the nation. The occasion provides an opportunity to remember the sacrifices made for freedom and to reaffirm the collective resolve to strengthen the nation, uphold national unity and contribute towards the building of a developed and self-reliant India.
