“The Government Will Work on the Ground, Not Just in Files,” Says Chief Minister
HARIDWAR: Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday participated in the “Mukhya Sevak Ki Chaupal” program organized under the “Jan-Jan Ki Sarkar, Jan-Jan Ke Dwar” campaign at Gram Aryanagar (Ghaziwali), Shyampur Kangri in rural Haridwar.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister delivered a clear message that the government is committed to working directly on the ground rather than remaining confined to paperwork.
Direct Dialogue with Citizens, Immediate Action Ordered
During the Chaupal, village heads and local residents from various villages presented issues related to roads, electricity, drinking water, pensions, revenue matters, employment, and agriculture.
The Chief Minister listened to each grievance attentively and issued strict on-the-spot instructions to concerned departmental officials to ensure prompt resolution.
He directed the District Magistrate to dispose of all submitted applications without delay, stating firmly that no public grievance should remain pending. He warned that negligence or unnecessary delays in public matters would not be tolerated at any level.

The objective, he said, is to ensure that citizens do not have to make repeated visits to government offices; instead, the administration must reach their doorstep.
He reiterated that the government is fully committed to delivering the benefits of schemes to the last person in the queue, and accountability will be ensured at every level.
Employment and Youth Empowerment
Highlighting the government’s efforts toward employment generation, the Chief Minister stated that more than 28,000 youths have been provided government jobs through a transparent and fair recruitment process.
He added that the state is also promoting self-employment and entrepreneurship initiatives to make the youth self-reliant and active contributors to Uttarakhand’s development.
Commitment to Farmers’ Welfare
The Chief Minister said that several welfare schemes are being implemented to protect farmers’ interests and increase their income. The government is focusing on expanding irrigation facilities, ensuring better prices for agricultural produce, and promoting modern farming techniques.
Historic Step: Implementation of Uniform Civil Code
The Chief Minister described the implementation of the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) in Uttarakhand as a historic and visionary decision aimed at strengthening social harmony, equality, and justice.
Accelerated Development in Rural Haridwar
He highlighted ongoing efforts to strengthen basic infrastructure such as roads, electricity, and drinking water in the rural areas of Haridwar. Improvements in healthcare and education are now visible on the ground.
Special initiatives are also underway to empower women, expand irrigation facilities, enhance skill development, and promote employment and self-employment opportunities for youth.
The Chief Minister stated that coordinated efforts between the central and state governments have accelerated development projects. Through technology-driven transparency, strict action has been taken against corruption, making governance more efficient and accountable.
“People’s Trust is My Greatest Strength”
Concluding his address, the Chief Minister said that the affection, trust, and blessings of the people are his greatest motivation. He assured citizens that the government stands firmly with them in every situation.
