Bollywood Legend Dharmendra’s Asthi Visarjan Performed in Haridwar

HARIDWAR: The Deol family on Wednesday morning performed the Asthi Visarjan of legendary Bollywood actor Dharmendra on the banks of the Ganga in Haridwar. The rites were conducted at a private ghat of a hotel in Shravannath Nagar, with the family ensuring complete privacy and keeping media at a distance.

Present for the solemn ritual were Dharmendra’s sons Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol, along with Sunny’s son Karan Deol. The family, accompanied by priests conducting the ceremony, appeared deeply emotional, quietly offering prayers as they bid a final farewell to the veteran actor. Despite efforts to maintain composure, grief was evident on their faces.

The moment the rituals concluded, the Deol family left directly for the airport. They had reached Haridwar on Tuesday to prepare for the immersion ceremony.

Dharmendra, one of Indian cinema’s most cherished and influential actors, passed away on November 24 at the age of 89 after a prolonged age-related illness. His demise marked the end of an era in Bollywood, leaving millions of fans mourning the loss of an icon.
