Governor, CM and Speaker extend Independence Day greetings to the nation

Governor Lt General (Retd) Gurmit Singh extended greetings and best wishes to the people of the nation and the state on Independence Day. The Governor recalled the known and unknown fighters of the freedom struggle and said that it was because of their sacrifice that the dream of an independent India came true. He said that great freedom fighters made their supreme sacrifice for the freedom and security of the country, which can never be forgotten.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami extended greetings and best wishes to the people of state and the country on the occasion of the 77th Independence Day. In his tweet the Chief Minister paid tribute to all the freedom fighters and immortal martyrs, who made the supreme sacrifice for the nation. The Chief Minister also congratulated the people of Uttarakhand who have contributed significantly in the progress and development of country and the state.

Uttarakhand Vidhan Sabha Speaker Ritu Khanduri Bhushan extended greetings and warm wishes to the people of nation and the state on the occasion of the 77th Independence Day. She recalled the martyrdom of all those who sacrificed their lives in the freedom struggle and the martyrdom of the Uttarakhand state agitationists.
