Haridwar, October 12, 2026: In a significant step towards promoting the religious, spiritual and cultural identity of Haridwar Kumbh Mela 2027, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday launched the event’s official logo, website and theme song at the Mela Control Building (CCR) auditorium in Haridwar.
The three initiatives aim to showcase the distinctive traditions and spiritual significance of Kumbh to audiences across India and abroad, while making information related to the event accessible through digital platforms and spreading awareness about the upcoming religious congregation.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Dhami said that Kumbh is a grand celebration of India’s ancient spiritual heritage, Sanatan culture and collective faith. Haridwar Kumbh holds immense religious significance for millions of devotees, and the state government is committed to organising Kumbh Mela 2027 in a divine, grand and well-organised manner.
He said that all necessary arrangements would be ensured to facilitate a safe, orderly and convenient experience for pilgrims. The official logo, website and song will play an important role in strengthening the identity of Kumbh and connecting devotees and the general public with the event.
Official Logo Reflects Haridwar’s Spiritual and Cultural Heritage
The official logo of Haridwar Kumbh Mela 2027 brings together the city’s religious identity, devotion to the River Ganga and the defining elements of Sanatan tradition.
The design features Maa Ganga, the Har Ki Pauri area, Dhanush Bridge and the divine glow of sunrise. It also incorporates an image of Lord Shiva, saints and ascetics, traditional symbols such as the trident and damru, and the hills associated with Maa Mansa Devi and Maa Chandi Devi.
These elements represent Haridwar’s spiritual significance and the rich cultural heritage of Kumbh. The logo will be used across promotional materials, publications and digital platforms associated with the event, helping establish a consistent visual identity and giving the campaign a more organised approach.
Design Competition Encouraged Young Talent
To develop the official logo, the Kumbh Mela administration had invited entries from young people and students across Uttarakhand. Hundreds of submissions were received, of which a selection committee evaluated 13 outstanding and original designs.
The design submitted by Madhu Sharma, a resident of the Jagjeetpur area of Haridwar, was selected as the best entry. The official logo of Haridwar Kumbh Mela 2027 was subsequently finalised on the basis of her design.
The initiative also provided an opportunity to showcase the creative talent of young people while developing a distinctive identity for the religious event.
Official Website to Improve Access to Kumbh Information
The official website of Haridwar Kumbh Mela 2027 will serve as a digital platform for devotees, visitors and the general public.
Official website: https://haridwarkumbh.uk.gov.in
The portal will facilitate access to authentic information related to the Kumbh Mela. Digital dissemination of information is expected to help people across different parts of India, as well as devotees living abroad, stay connected with the event.
The website will also support the wider promotion of Haridwar’s religious and cultural identity by making official event-related information accessible through an online platform.
‘Kumbh Ka Parv Aa Gaya’ Song Captures Faith and Festive Spirit
The launch of the official Kumbh Mela 2027 song was another major highlight of the event.
Beginning with the lines, “Sadhu aur santon ke man mein harsh chha gaya, Kumbh ka parv aa gaya,” the song conveys the joy surrounding the arrival of Kumbh, the enthusiasm of saints and ascetics, and the devotion of pilgrims.
Haridwar-based singer Raghav Raja has written, sung and composed the song. It aims to spread the message of the upcoming Kumbh and strengthen the public’s cultural and emotional connection with the event.
Music has traditionally played an important role in expressing collective faith and public sentiment during religious celebrations. The official song is expected to help communicate the spiritual atmosphere, traditions and festive spirit of Kumbh to a wider audience.
Blending Spiritual Tradition with Modern Communication
Haridwar Kumbh Mela 2027 presents an important opportunity to showcase Uttarakhand’s spiritual heritage, religious tourism and cultural identity on a wider platform.
The official logo, website and song serve complementary purposes: the logo establishes a recognisable visual identity, the website facilitates digital access to information, and the song expresses the emotions associated with the arrival of Kumbh.
Together, these initiatives are intended to strengthen the promotion of Kumbh’s religious significance, cultural richness and traditional values. Modern communication platforms will also help extend the event’s message to devotees across India and in other countries.
