DEHRADUN: All schools in Dehradun will remain closed on August 13 following a warning issued by the Meteorological Department.
According to the weather alert, a Red Alert will be in effect from 10:13 AM on August 13, 2025, to 10:13 AM on August 14, 2025. During this period, heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected at several places in Bageshwar, Champawat, Dehradun, Haridwar, Nainital, Pauri Garhwal, Tehri Garhwal, and Udham Singh Nagar districts. Extremely heavy rainfall is also likely in some areas including Devprayag, Doiwala, Roorkee, Laksar, Chakrata, Ramnagar, and nearby regions.
The forecast also warns of thunderstorms accompanied by intense rainfall. Authorities have urged residents to remain cautious and avoid unnecessary travel during this period.
