Uttarakhand Vidhan Sabha Monsoon Session Adjourned Sine Die

Gairsain: The monsoon session of the Uttarakhand Vidhan Sabha was adjourned sine die on Wednesday by Speaker Ritu Khanduri. On the concluding day, the House passed a supplementary budget of ₹5,315 crore along with eight key bills.

The proceedings began on a stormy note for the second consecutive day, with opposition Congress members demanding a discussion under Rule 310 on the State’s law-and-order situation. Soon after the session commenced, Congress legislators trooped into the well of the House in protest.

Despite the uproar, the House approved the supplementary budget—₹2,152.37 crore under the revenue head and ₹3,163.02 crore under the capital account head—through a voice vote.

The session, marked by heated exchanges between the treasury and opposition benches, concluded with the passage of these financial and legislative measures.
