Modern Library Gifted to Tyuni Through Chief Minister’s Vision and District Magistrate’s Efforts
A far-reaching and transformative step by the district administration to promote quality education in border areas

Dehradun. In line with the education-driven visionary leadership of the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand and under the proactive guidance of District Magistrate Savin Bansal, another significant milestone has been achieved towards strengthening educational infrastructure in Tyuni, a remote and border area of Dehradun district. An amount of Rs 12.00 lakh has been approved for the repair and furnishing of the public library in Tyuni, out of which 60 percent, amounting to Rs 7.20 lakh, has been released as the first installment.
This initiative materialized following a request made by students and the Sankalp Janjatiya Utthan Foundation Committee during the District Magistrate’s visit to Tyuni, seeking the development of library facilities in the area. Taking prompt action, the District Magistrate directed the Executive Engineer, Rural Construction Department, Dehradun Division, to prepare an estimate of Rs 12.20 lakh for the repair and furniture arrangements of the public library.
As part of the district administration’s sustained efforts to reinforce educational infrastructure in remote regions, this project marks another important step forward. The detailed estimate was prepared by the Executive Engineer, Rural Construction Department, and submitted to the Chief Education Officer, Mayur Vihar, Dehradun, on 03 December 2025.
On the instructions of District Magistrate Savin Bansal, the proposal was placed before the Governing Council of the District Mineral Foundation Trust in its convened meeting. The Chairperson and members of the Governing Council accorded approval for Rs 12.00 lakh (Rupees Twelve Lakh only).
Out of the sanctioned amount, Rs 7,20,000/- (Rupees Seven Lakh Twenty Thousand only) has been released to the Executive Engineer, Rural Construction Department, Dehradun, through a cheque issued from the designated bank account of the District Mineral Foundation Trust. The remaining 40 percent amounting to Rs 4,80,000/- will be released after submission of the Utilization Certificate and receipt of the third-party inspection report.
Translating the Chief Minister’s policy of ensuring equal and quality educational opportunities in remote and border areas into reality, the district administration under the leadership of District Magistrate Savin Bansal continues to undertake concrete and result-oriented initiatives to strengthen educational infrastructure. The upgradation of the public library in a difficult and remote area like Tyuni will provide students with a robust platform for academic learning, competitive examination preparation, and overall knowledge enhancement.
The District Magistrate stated that expanding quality educational facilities across the district, particularly in remote and border regions, remains the administration’s top priority. Facilities such as libraries play a crucial role in fostering a culture of learning among students and significantly support preparation for competitive examinations. He reaffirmed that the district administration will continue to take transformative and outcome-driven steps in the field of education.
