Uttarakhand: CM Dhami Gives Appointment Letters to 332 Ayush and ESI Personnel

332 Newly Appointed Ayush and ESI Personnel Receive Appointment Letters; CM Dhami Calls for Service, Sensitivity and Dedication

Dehradun, October 5, 2026: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday handed over appointment letters to 332 newly appointed personnel from the Ayush Department and the Employees’ State Insurance (ESI) scheme at an event held at the Mukhya Sevak Sadan at the Chief Minister’s Camp Office.

The appointments include 271 personnel from the Ayush Department and 61 Allopathic Pharmacy Officers under the Employees’ State Insurance scheme. Congratulating the newly appointed employees, the Chief Minister urged them to discharge their responsibilities with a strong sense of service, sensitivity and dedication.

CM Dhami said receiving an appointment letter marks an important milestone in the life of a young person, but government service also brings a significant responsibility towards society. He urged the newly appointed personnel not to view their jobs merely as employment, but as an opportunity to bring positive change to the lives of people, particularly those living at the last mile.

He said personnel associated with the Ayush Department and ESI services have a responsibility directly connected with people’s health and well-being. People visiting government health centres and hospitals, particularly from remote areas, come with trust and expectations. Sensitivity, promptness and efficiency on the part of government personnel can strengthen that trust.

The Chief Minister urged the new employees to set an example through their conduct wherever they are posted. He said every person visiting a hospital or health centre arrives with hope, and a timely decision and sincere effort by a healthcare worker can make a significant difference in a patient’s life.

Transparent Recruitment Providing Fair Opportunities to Youth

CM Dhami said the state government has taken effective measures to make the recruitment system transparent and fair. Along with strict action against recruitment examination malpractice, a stringent anti-copying law has also been implemented.

He said young people in Uttarakhand are now getting opportunities in government services on the basis of their hard work and merit. More than 35,000 youth have received government jobs over the past five years, he said, describing the figure as an indication of the government’s commitment to transparent recruitment.

Uttarakhand Being Developed as an Ayush State and Global Wellness Hub

The Chief Minister highlighted Uttarakhand’s rich tradition of yoga, Ayurveda and medicinal herbs, saying the government is working towards developing the state as a model Ayush State and Global Wellness Hub.

He said Ayush services are being expanded across all districts of the state, while Panchakarma facilities are being modernised and Ayurveda Utkarsh Centres are being established.

Through e-Sanjeevani, people are being provided access to specialist medical consultations from home. The Ayush Setu Portal is also being developed as an important initiative to make Ayush-related services more accessible.

The Chief Minister added that several homestays have been linked with wellness services offered by nearby Ayurveda hospitals. The government aims to provide visitors to Uttarakhand with enhanced opportunities for health, wellness and mental well-being through yoga, Ayurveda and Panchakarma.

ESI Health Services Expanded to All 13 Districts

CM Dhami said healthcare services under the Employees’ State Insurance scheme are also being expanded continuously. Earlier, the ESI scheme was operational in six districts of Uttarakhand, but it has now been extended to all 13 districts.

He said a 100-bed ESI hospital in Rudrapur has already started functioning, while construction of a 300-bed ESI hospital in Haridwar is underway. Land has also been identified for an ESI hospital in Kashipur.

The Chief Minister further said that the recruitment process for 47 new medical officers is in its final stage, which will further strengthen healthcare services in the state.

He reiterated that the state government’s objective is to provide better, accessible and quality healthcare facilities to every citizen. He expressed confidence that the energy, capabilities and commitment of the newly appointed personnel would contribute significantly to the development of a stronger and more empowered Uttarakhand.

Government Focused on Strengthening Ayush Services

Ayush and Ayush Education Minister Madan Kaushik congratulated the newly appointed personnel and said the state government is continuously working to strengthen and make Ayush services more accessible to the public.

He said the induction of new personnel would enhance the department’s efficiency and further strengthen Ayush healthcare services across different parts of the state. He urged the newly appointed employees to discharge their responsibilities with dedication, sensitivity and a spirit of service.

Rajya Sabha MP Naresh Bansal, MLAs Umesh Sharma Kau and Savita Kapoor, Secretary Labour Shridhar Babu Addanki, Secretary Ayush and Ayush Education Ranjana Rajguru, Additional Secretary Vijay Kumar Jogdande, Akanksha Konde and senior officials of the concerned departments were present at the event.
