Uttarakhand Cabinet Expansion: Governor Gurmit Singh Swears in 5 New Ministers

Uttarakhand Governor Gurmit Singh administered oath to five new ministers in a ceremony at Lok Bhawan, Dehradun. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and senior leaders attended the event, marking a key cabinet expansion.

Dehradun, Friday:
In a significant political development in Uttarakhand, Governor Gurmit Singh (Retd. Lieutenant General) administered the oath of office and secrecy to the newly inducted ministers of the state cabinet during a formal ceremony held at Lok Bhawan. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami was also present on the occasion.

During the ceremony, MLAs Khajan Das, Madan Kaushik, Bharat Singh Chaudhary, Pradeep Batra, and Ram Singh Kaida were sworn in as cabinet ministers. Their induction is expected to further strengthen governance and accelerate developmental initiatives in the state.

The ceremony witnessed the presence of former Maharashtra Governor and former Uttarakhand Chief Minister Bhagat Singh Koshyari. Cabinet ministers Subodh Uniyal, Rekha Arya, Ganesh Joshi, and Saurabh Bahuguna were also in attendance, along with several senior leaders and dignitaries.

Members of Parliament Mahendra Bhatt and Naresh Bansal, along with other prominent personalities and senior administrative officials, were present at the event. The ceremony was conducted by Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan.

The swearing-in ceremony is being seen as an important step towards enhancing administrative efficiency and bringing renewed momentum to the state’s governance.
