UTTARAKHAND: Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, CM Dhami Attend ‘Amar Ujala Samvad’; Meritorious Students Felicitated

DehradunUnion Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in the “Amar Ujala Samvad” program held at a hotel in Dehradun on Tuesday. During the event, both dignitaries honored meritorious students for their achievements in various fields.

In his address, Chief Minister Dhami described Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 11-year tenure as a “golden era”, stating that India has asserted a strong and influential presence on the global stage under his leadership. He emphasized that the Prime Minister’s vision of a “Developed India” is visibly transforming every part of the nation, especially the mountainous regions.

Highlighting the state’s progress, the Chief Minister noted that Uttarakhand is rapidly establishing itself on the global tourism map. He mentioned that numerous destinations across the state are attracting both domestic and international tourists. The government, he said, is pursuing all developmental initiatives in a planned and future-oriented manner.

Referring to NITI Aayog meetings, CM Dhami stressed the importance of crafting region-specific schemes tailored to the geographical and social realities of hilly states. He added that policies are also being formulated with a focus on the floating population to ensure inclusive development.

On the matter of sustainable development, the Chief Minister underlined the government’s commitment to maintaining a balance between ecological preservation and economic growth. He referred to Prime Minister Modi as the ‘Ganga Putra’ (Son of the Ganges), and highlighted that the commencement of the winter Char Dham Yatra from Mukhwa has elevated Uttarakhand’s spiritual and tourism stature.

The Chief Minister also shared that the government has taken decisive action against land mafias by enforcing stringent land laws, thereby ensuring a secure and attractive environment for investors. Uttarakhand, he proudly noted, is the first state in the country to effectively implement the Uniform Civil Code (UCC).

Addressing issues related to disaster management and illegal encroachment, CM Dhami reiterated that the government is working to reduce the impact of natural disasters and is taking strict measures to curb encroachments in order to preserve the demographic and cultural identity of the state. He asserted that the sacred character of Devbhoomi will not be compromised under any circumstances.
