CM Pushkar Singh Dhami Inaugurates Nagar Van Oxygen Park in Khatima, Announces Six Development Projects
Announcements include circuit house, stadium, vending zone and workshop; CM stresses balance between development and environment
Khatima: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Tuesday inaugurated the newly constructed Nagar Van Oxygen Park in Khatima. During the programme, the Chief Minister planted saplings in the park premises and inspected the facilities. He also directed officials to ensure that the park remains clean, attractive and useful for local residents.
The Chief Minister made six major announcements related to the development of Khatima. These include expansion of the Nagar Van Oxygen Park, shifting the Forest Range Officer’s office to the park premises and constructing a new office, construction of a stadium, construction of a workshop, establishment of a circuit house and development of a vending zone.
Circuit House to Facilitate Tourists and Pilgrims
CM Dhami said Khatima’s geographical location makes it important from a tourism perspective. Considering the movement of tourists and pilgrims travelling towards Vyas Valley, Panchachuli and Adi Kailash, a circuit house will be constructed in Khatima to facilitate their stay and travel.
He also assured that financial assistance and necessary resources would be provided for the expansion of the Nagar Van Oxygen Park.
Park to Provide Green and Healthy Environment
The Chief Minister said the Nagar Van Oxygen Park will provide residents with a clean, green and healthy environment. He stressed that maintaining the park’s cleanliness and beauty is a collective responsibility of both the administration and the public.
He also directed officials to construct a pink toilet in the park premises for the convenience of women visitors.
Ecology and Economy Are Complementary: CM
CM Pushkar Singh Dhami said the importance of forests and the environment has increased significantly amid the growing challenges of global warming and climate change.
He said ecology and economy are not contradictory but complementary. The state government, he added, is working to promote economic activities while maintaining a balance with nature and the environment.
According to the Chief Minister, the objective is not only to ensure development in the present but also to create sustainable employment and livelihood opportunities for future generations.
He said the state government is also accelerating efforts to promote environmental protection and clean energy through electric vehicles, charging infrastructure and solar energy projects.
Uttarakhand Progressing on Development Path: Ajay Bhatt
Addressing the gathering, MP Ajay Bhatt said Uttarakhand is continuously progressing on the path of development under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. He said the state is strengthening its identity as one of the leading states in the country across various sectors.
Khatima Municipal Board Chairman Ramesh Chandra Joshi thanked the Chief Minister for developing the Nagar Van Oxygen Park and requested its expansion. He also sought the construction of a new Forest Range Officer’s office in the park premises after shifting the existing dilapidated office.
Several public representatives, officials and a large number of local residents attended the programme, including District Panchayat Chairperson Ajay Maurya, Block Pramukh Sarita Rana, state ministers Mohini Pokhariya and others, District Magistrate Nitin Singh Bhadouria, Senior Superintendent of Police Ajay Ganpati, Forest Conservator Nitishmani Tripathi, Divisional Forest Officer Deepak Singh and Additional District Magistrate Kaustubh Mishra.
