The Chief Minister said the positive outcomes of the Uttarakhand Film Policy 2024 are becoming evident. The state government is providing various facilities to simplify the shooting process and encourage filmmakers to undertake projects in the region.

Through the single-window system, filmmakers can access a streamlined process for obtaining shooting permissions. The government has also made provisions for financial incentives to encourage film production.

The Chief Minister emphasised that promoting film production can create new employment and self-employment opportunities for local artists, technicians, and young people.

He added that film shoots can benefit several sectors beyond the film industry, including tourism, hospitality, transportation, catering, and other local businesses. Increased film production activity can support the local economy while bringing greater visibility to Uttarakhand’s tourist destinations.

The state government remains committed to extending all possible support to filmmakers and encouraging more film projects in Uttarakhand. The initiative is aimed at strengthening the state’s position as a leading film shooting destination while expanding economic opportunities for local communities.
