DEHRADUN: The newly elected Mayor, Saurabh Thapliyal of Uttarakhand’s largest municipal corporation Dehradun, was sworn-in at a ceremony held in the Nagar Nigam premises on Friday, 7 February in the presence of Chief Minister, cabinet ministers and MLAs.
In the oath taking ceremony, Municipal Corporation Dehradun, Administrator/ Commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey administered the oath of office to the newly elected Mayor. After this, the Mayor administered the oath of office and membership to all the 100 newly elected municipal corporators.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Cabinet Minister Premchand Aggarwal, Ganesh Joshi, Saurabh Bahuguna, MLA Dharampur Vinod Chamoli, MLA Cantt Savita Kapoor, Rajpur Khajandas, Raipur Umesh Sharma Kau, Doiwala Brijbhushan Gairola, Purola Durgeshwar Lal, former Cabinet Minister Dinesh Aggarwal, former Mayor Sunil Uniyal Gama, District Magistrate Savin Bansal, Chief Development Officer Abhinav Shah, Chief Municipal Commissioner Municipal Corporation Namami Bansal, City Magistrate Pratyush Singh, Deputy Municipal Commissioner Gopal Ram Binwal along with other officials and local public representatives and a large number of people were present in the oath taking ceremony.
