Mascot ‘Mouli’, the center of attraction for the people in the 38th National Games, has reached the CM residence after the conclusion of the National Games.
DEHRADUN: CM Pushkar Singh Dhami welcomed Mouli at the Chief Minister’s residence. He said that the mascot symbol of the National Games ‘Mouli’ (Monal bird) has been the center of discussion across the country. Mouli, the mascot of the National Games held in Uttarakhand, was given a grand welcome in every district of the state.
The Chief Minister stressed that Mouli’s activism during the National Games won everyone’s heart. People across the country became familiar with the specialty of Uttarakhand’s state bird Monal.
He mentioned that the 38th National Games have given Uttarakhand a new identity as Devbhoomi and Veerbhoomi as well as Sports Land. As a result of the new sports policy, the players of the state have performed brilliantly in the 38th National Games and won 103 medals and secured a place in the category of top seven states in the country. Uttarakhand was ranked 25th in the 37th National Games. The 38th National Games held in Uttarakhand will also be remembered for the Green Games, medals made from e-waste and plantation of saplings in the name of medal winning players, he added.
