Dehradun: On the auspicious occasion of Buddha Purnima, Governor Lt General Gurmit Singh (Retd) extended his heartfelt greetings and best wishes to the people of Uttarakhand.
In his message, the Governor highlighted the significance of the day, marking the birth of Lord Gautam Buddha on the full moon of Vaishakh. He emphasized that Lord Buddha’s teachings of non-violence, peace, compassion, and selfless service continue to inspire humanity.
The Governor also noted that in today’s world, where society is in great need of tolerance, love, and harmony, the message of Lord Buddha remains profoundly relevant.
