Dehradun: Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has commenced the admission process for the July 2025 session. Students interested in enrolling in Online and Open Distance Learning (ODL) programs can apply through the university’s official admission portal: ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in.
As per Dr. Anil Kumar Dimri, Senior Regional Director of IGNOU Regional Centre Dehradun, both fresh admissions and re-registrations can be completed through the ‘Student Services’ section on the website. Detailed information about various academic programs is available under the ‘Program Section’.
After successful admission, eligible students may also apply for Central Government scholarship schemes via the National Scholarship Portal: scholarships.gov.in.
Students must provide a valid mobile number and email ID at the time of registration to ensure timely communication from the university. Additionally, creating a DEB (Distance Education Bureau) ID is mandatory for the online application process.
