Second Randomization of Personnel for Panchayat Elections Completed; 1208 Polling Parties Formed in Dehradun District

Dehradun: In order to ensure smooth and peaceful conduct of the three-tier Panchayat elections, the second randomization of polling personnel was completed on Friday in the NIC hall through the software prescribed by the State Election Commission.

In this phase, a total of 1208 polling parties, including 10 percent reserved parties, have been constituted for 1090 polling booths across Dehradun district. Each polling party will have five personnel, thus deploying a total of 6040 polling staff. Notably, each polling party will include a woman employee as the second polling officer.

Following the second randomization, polling parties have also been allocated to respective blocks:

Chakrata block: 151 polling parties for 137 booths (including reserves)

Kalsi: 143 for 130 booths

Vikasnagar: 267 for 242 booths

Sahaspur: 272 for 247 booths

Raipur: 74 for 61 booths

Doiwala: 301 polling parties for 273 booths (including reserves)

Earlier, Presiding Officers and First Polling Officers were given training on July 6 and 7. All 6040 selected polling personnel will now undergo training from July 16 to 21. Subsequently, in the third and final randomization, polling parties will be allotted to specific booths.

The randomization process was conducted in the presence of Chief Education Officer V.K. Dhaulndiyal, District Informatics Officer Ranjeet Singh Chauhan, ADIO Ankush Pandey, among others.
