Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated the Silver Jubilee celebrations of Uttarakhand’s Statehood with the grand ‘Bill Lao, Inaam Pao’ Mega Lucky Draw held at the Secretariat on Friday. The program, organized by the State Tax Department, Uttarakhand, witnessed the selection of 1,888 winners.

Among them, Sonia from Nainital district and Jaspal Rawat from Tehri district emerged as first prize winners, each receiving an electric car as the top award. The Chief Minister personally congratulated both winners over the phone and announced that the ‘Bill Lao, Inaam Pao’ scheme will continue across the state.

The Chief Minister said that this innovative initiative has infused new energy and awareness into the state’s revenue generation system, while also fostering a culture of tax compliance among traders and citizens alike.

Launched in 2022, the scheme has successfully connected public participation directly with the tax system.
