Uttarakhand’s Tableau Showcases Cultural Heritage and Development at the Unity Parade

PM Modi Applauds Uttarakhand Tableau at Unity Parade in Kevadia
Kevadia (Gujarat):
Uttarakhand’s tableau captivated the audience at the grand Unity Parade held in front of the Statue of Unity in Kevadia, Gujarat, by beautifully showcasing the diverse colors of nature, spirituality, culture, and development of the Devbhoomi — the Land of Gods.

During the national-level celebration organized on the occasion of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s 150th birth anniversary, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inspected the parade and commended Uttarakhand’s tableau and the enthralling performances of its folk artists.
Uttarakhand was among the eight states selected to present their tableau at this special event, themed “Eight Elements and Unity.” The tableau creatively portrayed the state’s spiritual destinations, rich biodiversity, vibrant traditions, and progressive developmental journey — reflecting the essence of unity in diversity.
Led by Joint Director of the Information Department, the tableau procession was accompanied by a troupe of folk artists performing traditional Uttarakhandi dances to melodious local tunes, adding a festive and cultural vibrancy to the parade.
K.S. Chauhan, Nodal Officer for the State Tableau and Joint Director of the Information Department, said that Uttarakhand’s presentation received widespread acclaim for its artistic depiction and cultural authenticity. He added that the tableau’s concept beautifully integrated the spiritual and natural identity of the state with the broader national theme of unity.
The performance not only celebrated Uttarakhand’s devotional spirit and natural splendor but also underscored its commitment to balanced progress, cultural pride, and national integration.
