District Administration Extends Support to 13-Year-Old Divyang Bhavya; ₹10,000 Assistance Sanctioned for Mobility Pram, Mother to Receive Employment Soon
Dehradun, November 18: Priya Verma, a resident of Aryanagar, approached the District Magistrate’s office seeking help for her 13-year-old specially-abled son, Bhavya. She informed the DM that Bhavya is completely unable to walk or speak and has been dependent on a mobility pram for movement. However, the pram has now broken, leaving the family in serious distress.
Priya shared that her husband is a daily-wage laborer, and the family is struggling with severe financial hardship. She requested financial assistance from the district administration to purchase a new pram for Bhavya.
After hearing her plea, the District Magistrate immediately directed the SDM (Judicial), Dehradun to review the case and take prompt action. Upon verification, officials confirmed that Bhavya is completely immobile and the family is under extreme financial strain.
Considering the circumstances, the district administration approved ₹10,000 from the Rifle Fund to support the purchase of a new mobility pram for Bhavya.
In addition, acknowledging the poor financial condition of Bhavya’s mother, Priya Verma, the district administration has also initiated the process to provide her with suitable employment in a local institution. The District Magistrate has issued instructions to the concerned officials to ensure necessary action at the earliest.
