Dehradun DLSA Ranked No. 1 in Uttarakhand; Wins ‘Best DLSA of the State’ Award for 2025
DEHRADUN: The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Dehradun, has secured the first position in Uttarakhand based on the comprehensive evaluation conducted by the Uttarakhand State Legal Services Authority for the year 2025. This achievement highlights the institution’s efficient functioning, strong public outreach, timely services, and unwavering commitment to ensuring equal access to justice.
On 26 November 2025, during the State-level event held at the Uttarakhand High Court on the occasion of Constitution Day, Chief Justice Guhanathan Narender presented Dehradun DLSA with the prestigious “Best DLSA of the State” trophy.
DLSA Secretary Seema Dungarakoti informed that the State Authority carried out a detailed assessment of activities conducted across all districts throughout the year. Dehradun’s performance emerged as the best in multiple parameters. She attributed this success to the able leadership of the District Judge, the dedicated efforts of the DLSA team, and continuous institutional cooperation.

Free legal assistance provided to nearly 1,500 underprivileged individuals

Continuous inspection of old-age homes, leprosy homes, and orphanages, ensuring availability of essential facilities

Free legal aid and counselling provided during jail inspections to support inmates
This State-level recognition represents not only the achievement of DLSA Dehradun but also a collective success of Dehradun’s judicial system, administrative support, community participation, and the dedication of the entire team.
