Dehradun. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami extended his heartfelt greetings and best wishes to all residents of Uttarakhand on the occasion of New Year 2026. In his message issued on the eve of the New Year, the Chief Minister wished the people happiness, peace, prosperity, and good health, expressing hope that the coming year would bring new opportunities, renewed determination, and fresh achievements for the state.

The Chief Minister said that Uttarakhand’s development journey so far has been marked by significant achievements. The state’s progress reflects a story of struggle, dedication, and continuous advancement. Keeping the core spirit of the Uttarakhand movement—comprehensive, balanced, and inclusive development—at the center, the government has set a new direction for growth through transparency, public participation, and a modern work culture.

He stated that along with strengthening the state’s economy, special emphasis has been placed on preserving nature and culture. Innovative and forward-looking initiatives in tourism, agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry, and other potential sectors have given Uttarakhand a distinct identity across the country. The Chief Minister noted that the state’s clear policies and firm resolve for development have inspired other states to follow Uttarakhand’s initiatives and programs.

Referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, and Sabka Prayas,” the Chief Minister said that his government has made public service its top priority. Continuous efforts have been made to ensure that the benefits of government schemes reach the last person in society. Transparent governance, strict action against corruption, and swift decision-making have remained the cornerstone of the government’s working style.

The Chief Minister highlighted that historic decisions such as the implementation of the Uniform Civil Code, a strong land law, anti-cheating legislation, and strict laws against forced religious conversion have strengthened justice, discipline, transparency, and social harmony in the state. With the trust and cooperation of the people, the government has, over the past four years, expanded employment and self-employment opportunities for youth, empowered women socially and economically, increased farmers’ income, and effectively implemented several welfare schemes for the poor and marginalized sections. Notable progress has also been made in the fields of health, education, employment, and infrastructure.

He said that the government has not only succeeded in setting a clear direction for planned and speedy development in line with public expectations, but has also achieved results beyond expectations in several areas related to the state’s interests. Effective implementation of development schemes and policy innovations have been appreciated by NITI Aayog, leading to Uttarakhand securing the first position in the Sustainable Development Index at the national level.

The Chief Minister further said that hosting the National Games has given Uttarakhand a new national identity. The state has also made remarkable progress in investment and industrial development. Memorandums of Understanding worth ₹3.56 lakh crore have been signed with domestic and international investors, out of which projects worth nearly ₹1 lakh crore have already reached the ground. The government has also taken concrete steps to promote local products and strengthen the “Vocal for Local” initiative.

Concluding his message, the Chief Minister said that Uttarakhand’s development journey has not only achieved physical and economic growth but has also reinforced the state’s cultural, spiritual, and social identity. He expressed confidence that Uttarakhand will move even faster on the path of progress in the coming years and called upon all citizens to actively participate in building a prosperous, harmonious, and developed Uttarakhand in the New Year 2026.
