Dehradun DM Savin Bansal reviewed CM Helpline complaints and directed officials to ensure time-bound, accountable, and quality grievance redressal.
Dehradun, January 19:
A comprehensive review meeting of complaints received on the Chief Minister’s Helpline was held today at the Collectorate Auditorium under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Savin Bansal. During the meeting, the District Magistrate issued strict instructions to all concerned departmental officers, emphasizing that the CM Helpline is a high-priority grievance redressal mechanism at the Chief Minister’s level, and any form of negligence, indifference, or delay will not be tolerated.
The District Magistrate directed that every complaint registered on the CM Helpline must be handled with utmost seriousness, sensitivity, and accountability, ensuring time-bound disposal. He warned that no case should remain pending under any circumstances, and responsibility will be fixed on the concerned officer in case of unjustified delays.
During the review, the District Magistrate examined the department-wise status of pending and disposed cases. In matters where unnecessary delays or deficiencies in resolution were observed, immediate disposal along with quality and satisfactory feedback was instructed. He further directed that after resolving complaints, a clear, factual, and satisfaction-based report must be mandatorily uploaded on the CM Helpline portal.
The District Magistrate also instructed officers to establish direct communication with complainants to understand the actual issues and ensure effective resolution, so that citizens are not compelled to repeatedly lodge complaints on the CM Helpline. He emphasized that quality grievance redressal is the true hallmark of good governance.
The meeting was attended by Additional District Magistrate (Finance & Revenue) Krishna Kumar Mishra, Special Land Acquisition Officer Smrita Parmar, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (Headquarters) Apoorva Singh, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Kumkum Joshi, Deputy Municipal Commissioner of Municipal Corporation Santosh Kumar, along with officers from various departments.
