Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday conducted a comprehensive review of key infrastructure and development projects across Uttarakhand through the Pragati Portal during a high-level meeting held at the Secretariat. The review covered 12 major projects being executed by various departments, including Transport, Energy, Public Works, National Highways, and the Border Roads Organisation, with a cumulative investment of approximately ₹6,940 crore.

Addressing the meeting, the Chief Minister said that the collective contribution of all stakeholders is essential to realize Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Viksit Bharat 2047. He emphasized that timely completion of development projects is crucial for accelerating the state’s economic and social progress.

To ensure effective monitoring and faster execution of projects, the Chief Minister directed that reviews be conducted every month at the Chief Minister’s level and every ten days at the Chief Secretary’s level. He warned that accountability would be fixed for undue delays in project implementation and strict action would be taken against responsible officials as per established rules.

The Chief Minister instructed departments to complete all projects that have already achieved more than 50 percent physical progress by October 15, 2026. He reiterated that the State Government is committed to completing all development projects within stipulated timelines to ensure timely benefits for the public.

During the review, special attention was given to projects facing delays due to land transfer, forest and environmental clearances, land acquisition, compensation payments, and other administrative hurdles. The Chief Minister directed all concerned departments to work in close coordination and resolve such bottlenecks on priority.

He further instructed officials to utilize the Pragati Portal as an effective monitoring mechanism for tracking project progress and ensuring the timely disposal of pending matters. He noted that unnecessary delays not only hamper development but also adversely affect public welfare and economic activities.

The projects reviewed during the meeting included the Ramnagar ISBT, Ranikhet Bus Terminal, Tadikhet Depot and Workshop, Banbasa and Rudraprayag Power Substation Projects, Char Dham Road Projects, Askot–Lipulekh Road, Mana Pass Road Project, and various National Highway projects in Haridwar and Kashipur regions.

The Chief Minister also directed District Magistrates to personally monitor pending cases at the district level and ensure their prompt resolution. He emphasized that projects related to the Char Dham Yatra, strategically important border roads, power infrastructure, and transportation facilities are vital for the state’s overall development and public convenience.

He stated that timely completion of these projects would significantly boost tourism, trade, investment, and employment opportunities in Uttarakhand. He further instructed officials to establish clear accountability for each project, undertake regular monitoring, and prepare special action plans for projects lagging behind their expected progress.

The meeting was attended by Principal Secretaries R.K. Sudhanshu and Dr. R. Meenakshi Sundaram, Secretaries Brijesh Kumar Sant and Dr. Pankaj Kumar Pandey, Additional Secretaries Dr. Mehrban Singh Bisht and Banshidhar Tiwari, along with senior officials of the concerned departments.
