Special Traffic Diversion Plan in Dehradun for IMA Passing Out Parade on June 13

Dehradun: In view of the prestigious Passing Out Parade (POP) at the Indian Military Academy (IMA) on June 13, 2026, Dehradun Police has implemented a special traffic diversion plan to ensure smooth traffic management and maintain security arrangements during the event.

The traffic diversion will remain in effect from 5:00 AM to 12:00 Noon. Commuters are advised to follow the alternate routes and cooperate with traffic police personnel deployed on duty.

Traffic Diversion Arrangements

IMA Area to Remain a Zero Zone

During the Passing Out Parade, no general traffic will be allowed towards the Indian Military Academy. The entire IMA area will remain a Zero Zone for security reasons.

Ballupur to Premnagar Route

Vehicles traveling from Ballupur towards Premnagar will be diverted from Rangharwala Tiraaha via the Mithi Beri route and then directed towards Premnagar.

Premnagar to Dehradun City (Light Vehicles)

Light vehicles coming from Premnagar towards Dehradun city will be routed through MT Gate, passing via Mithi Beri Gate and Rangharwala, before entering the city.

Heavy Vehicles from Selaqui and Bhauwala

All heavy vehicles arriving from Selaqui and Bhauwala towards Dehradun will be diverted from Dhulkot Tiraaha through Singhnivala and Naya Gaon before proceeding towards the city.

Heavy Vehicles from Dehradun to Vikasnagar

Heavy vehicles traveling from Dehradun towards Vikasnagar will be diverted via the Shimla Bypass and routed towards Dharmawala–Vikasnagar Road.

Public Advisory

Dehradun Police has appealed to the public to plan their journeys in advance, use alternate routes, and avoid unnecessary travel towards the IMA area during the event. Citizens are also requested to follow the directions issued by traffic personnel to ensure smooth movement of vehicles and effective security management.

Note: The diversion timings may be extended or reduced depending on traffic volume, security requirements, and ground conditions. Commuters are advised to stay updated with official traffic advisories.
