Another bank faces action by Dehradun administration; DM issues RC of ₹6.50 lakh, possible sealing and auction ahead

Dehradun, July 13: The Dehradun district administration, under DM Savin Bansal, continues its crackdown to protect public rights and curb exploitation. In the latest case, an RC (Recovery Certificate) of ₹6.50 lakh has been issued against the manager of CSL Finance Limited. If the amount is not deposited in time, the administration may raid, seal, and auction the branch.

The action follows the plea of Priya, a widow with four daughters, whose husband had taken a home loan of ₹6.50 lakh insured by Tata AIA. After his sudden death last year, the bank neither processed the insurance claim nor waived the loan, instead pressuring Priya for repayment. On her complaint, the DM found negligence and took immediate action.

Earlier too, the administration had sealed a bank branch in a similar case involving Shivani Gupta, compelling bank officials to personally return her documents and cancel the loan.

DM Bansal has made it clear that institutions harassing the public will face strict consequences, ensuring justice to the aggrieved and setting a stern example.
