DEHRADUN: Pushkar Singh Dhami has expressed deep grief over the demise of former Uttarakhand Chief Minister and veteran politician Bhuvan Chandra Khanduri. The Chief Minister described his passing as an irreparable loss not only to Uttarakhand but also to national politics and public life.
In his condolence message, the Chief Minister said that Major General (Retd.) Bhuvan Chandra Khanduri set an exemplary standard of patriotism, discipline, and dedication during his distinguished service in the Indian Army. Even after entering public life, he earned immense respect for his transparent administration, honest leadership, and commitment to good governance.
Chief Minister Dhami stated that Khanduri played a significant role in shaping the development trajectory of Uttarakhand through several important policy decisions and welfare-oriented initiatives. His contribution toward strengthening governance and promoting development in the state will always be remembered.
The Chief Minister further said that Khanduri’s simplicity, straightforward nature, and efficient working style would continue to inspire future generations and public representatives. Throughout his political career, he remained committed to principles, integrity, and public service.
Describing his demise as a major loss to Uttarakhand and the nation, the Chief Minister said that the contributions of the late leader would forever be remembered in the history of the state.
