Government Services at Home: CM Dhami Strengthens E-Governance in Uttarakhand

Under CM Pushkar Singh Dhami’s leadership, Uttarakhand strengthens e-governance, enabling citizens to access government services online from home with greater transparency and speed.

Dehradun, January 20:

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the Uttarakhand Government has strengthened e-governance as a key pillar to make governance and administration more transparent, simple, accountable, and citizen-centric. Through the effective use of digital technology, citizens are now able to access government services from their homes via mobile phones and the internet, significantly reducing the need to visit government offices.

Across Dehradun and the entire state, various online services and public welfare portals have been launched, enabling citizens to submit applications, lodge grievances, and share suggestions with ease. These digital platforms have enhanced direct access to government services while ensuring substantial savings in time and resources.

Under the e-governance framework, several services are available to the public, including the Online Grievance Redressal System, Public Hearing Portal, Digital Certificate Services, e-District Portal, Online RTI Portal, Rozgar Prayag Portal, Bhoodev App, and departmental applications such as CM Helpline 1905, e-Transport, and the “Apuni Sarkar” Portal. These initiatives have reduced footfall in government offices and contributed to greater transparency and effective control over corruption.

Highlighting the impact of e-services, Sonia Rawat, daughter of Devendra Singh, shared that her father’s income certificate required for old-age pension was received online within just 15 days, eliminating the need for repeated visits to government offices.

Chief Development Officer Abhinav Shah stated that the administration is rapidly advancing towards digital governance. A growing number of certificates and applications for public welfare schemes have now been made available online. Under the District Plan, the first phase of applications for all agriculture-related schemes has also been shifted to an online platform.

The e-governance system is proving to be effective not only for urban residents but also for citizens in rural areas, ensuring accountability, transparency, and timely delivery of government services. Chief Minister Dhami’s digital initiative stands as a significant step towards strengthening good governance in the state.
