Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reviewed security, traffic, and event arrangements at Jaswant Ground, Dehradun, ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s April 14, 2026 visit.
DEHRADUN: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami conducted an on-site inspection of preparations at Jaswant Ground in Garhi Cantt, Dehradun, in view of the proposed visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on April 14, 2026. During the visit, he thoroughly reviewed the arrangements and issued necessary directions to the concerned officials.
The Chief Minister assessed key aspects of the event preparations, including security management, traffic regulation, parking facilities, drinking water supply, electricity, and sanitation. He directed officials to ensure that public convenience remains the top priority and that all arrangements are completed within the stipulated timeline while maintaining high standards of quality.
Emphasizing the importance of security, he instructed officials to adopt a coordinated approach among various agencies. He also called for a robust traffic management plan to ensure smooth movement and stressed the need to keep emergency services on standby to handle any unforeseen situations.
While reviewing the stage setup, seating arrangements, and other facilities at Jaswant Ground, the Chief Minister highlighted that all preparations must reflect the significance and dignity of the event. He further directed that cleanliness and beautification work be given top priority.
The Chief Minister stated that the event is of great importance for the state, and ensuring its success is a collective responsibility of all concerned departments. He urged officials to work with full dedication and coordination to make the program successful.
Garhwal Commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey, IG Rajiv Swaroop, District Magistrate Savin Bansal, Additional Secretary Banshidhar Tiwari, SSP Pramendra Dobhal, and other senior officials from various departments were present during the inspection.
