The Chief Minister offered floral tributes to Garhwali’s portrait at the Chief Minister’s residence and remembered his extraordinary contribution to India’s freedom struggle.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister said that Veer Chandra Singh Garhwali set an unparalleled example of patriotism, courage, and moral integrity by refusing to carry out the British order to open fire on unarmed and peaceful civilians who were protesting for India’s independence. Chief Minister Dhami stated that the Peshawar incident holds a special and historic place in India’s struggle for independence.
