DM Savin Bansal Takes Strict Action, 6 Cases Filed, Over 360 Cylinders Seized

Dehradun administration cracks down on LPG black marketing under DM Savin Bansal. QRT raids 7 gas agencies and 87 establishments, seizes over 362 cylinders and registers 6 cases.

Dehradun, March 28: The district administration has intensified its crackdown on LPG black marketing, taking strict action to curb illegal practices. Acting on the directions of District Magistrate Savin Bansal, the Quick Response Team (QRT) is carrying out continuous and intensive inspection drives across the district.

As part of the ongoing अभियान, the QRT conducted surprise inspections at 7 gas agencies and 87 commercial establishments in different parts of the district. During the raids, irregularities were detected, leading to the seizure of 5 domestic LPG cylinders. Legal action is being initiated against the concerned establishments.

The administration’s strict enforcement has already shown results. So far, 6 cases related to LPG black marketing have been registered. Additionally, a total of 210 domestic cylinders, 139 commercial cylinders, and 13 small cylinders have been seized during the campaign.

District Magistrate Savin Bansal has made it clear that black marketing of LPG and the misuse of domestic cylinders for commercial purposes will not be tolerated under any circumstances. He has directed officials to conduct regular inspections and ensure a transparent and efficient gas distribution system.

He also appealed to the public to report any instances of black marketing, overcharging, or irregularities to the district administration immediately, so that strict action can be taken against offenders.

The district administration has affirmed that this enforcement drive will continue in the public interest to ensure fair availability of LPG to consumers at the prescribed rates.
