Earth Hour 2026: CM Dhami Urges Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection

On Earth Hour 2026, Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami switched off lights and urged citizens to adopt energy-saving habits, emphasizing environmental protection and sustainable development.

Pushkar Singh Dhami delivered a strong message on environmental conservation on the occasion of Earth Hour, a global initiative aimed at raising awareness about climate change and energy conservation.

Marking the event, the Chief Minister participated by switching off all non-essential lights at the Chief Minister’s residence from 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM, symbolizing commitment toward energy saving and environmental protection.

He emphasized that Earth Hour is not merely a symbolic gesture but a powerful reminder of our collective responsibility towards nature. Stressing the need for joint efforts, he said that energy conservation, ecological balance, and protection of natural resources require active public participation.

Appealing to the people of the state, the Chief Minister urged citizens to actively engage in such initiatives and adopt energy-saving habits in their daily lives. He noted that small individual actions can lead to significant change and play a crucial role in securing a clean and safe future for the coming generations.

Dhami also highlighted that Uttarakhand, being rich in natural resources, places top priority on environmental conservation and sustainable development. The state government is continuously working to maintain a balance between development and environmental protection.
