DM briefs officials deployed on PM duty; says there is no room for error in VVIP arrangements
Dehradun: In view of the main State Foundation Day Silver Jubilee programme and the proposed visit of the Prime Minister, District Magistrate Savin Bansal held a detailed briefing with the officials deployed for duty on Friday at the IRDT Auditorium. Magistrates, sector magistrates, nodal officers and officials assigned to the event to be held at the Forest Research Institute (FRI) campus were briefed about their responsibilities.
The District Magistrate stressed that VVIP duty is highly sensitive and leaves no scope for negligence. He directed all officials to fully understand their roles and discharge their duties with utmost seriousness. He added that any doubts or issues must be resolved well in time to ensure smooth execution.
During the meeting, the DM emphasised comprehensive preparedness at the venue. He instructed officials to ensure proper traffic management, security arrangements, visitor facilitation, seating plans, parking management, VIP movement, health services and emergency response systems. Officials were asked to inspect their assigned duty blocks and coordinate in advance with all personnel deployed under them to avoid any inconvenience on the day of the event.
Earlier, Chief Development Officer Abhinav Shah and City Magistrate Pratyush Singh provided detailed blockwise information on the duties and responsibilities assigned to magistrates and nodal officers.
