Orange Alert Issued for Heavy Rainfall: Educational Institutions to Remain Closed in Dehradun on January 27
Dehradun: In view of the Orange Alert issued by the Meteorological Department, the district administration has declared a holiday on January 27 for all government, government-aided, and private educational institutions in Dehradun district.
As per official orders, the closure will apply to all schools from Classes 1 to 12, along with all Anganwadi centres across the district. The decision has been taken as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of students amid continuous rainfall and adverse weather conditions.
The district administration has urged school authorities, teachers, parents, and concerned departments to strictly comply with the directions. Citizens have also been advised to avoid unnecessary travel and stay alert by following official weather updates.
