Dehradun – A review meeting of the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) was held on Thursday at the Secretariat Auditorium, chaired by Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan. The meeting focused on expediting the resolution of complaints related to RERA projects.
The Chief Secretary directed officials to prioritize the disposal of long-pending cases, especially those pending for more than three years (prior to 2022). He emphasized that prolonged delays in addressing such cases could erode consumer trust and must be avoided at all costs.
Additionally, he instructed authorities to accelerate action against defaulting real estate developers and ensure recovery of outstanding dues without delay.
The meeting was attended by RERA Executive Chairman Amitabh Mitra, Secretary Ila Giri, Deputy Secretary Arpan Kumar Raju, and Under Secretary Narendra Singh Rawat.
