DEHRADUN: On the occasion of Independence Day, a high tea program was organized at Raj Bhavan. Governor Lt. Gen. Gurmit Singh (Retd.) and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, along with several dignitaries, attended the event.
On this occasion, the Governor and the Chief Minister released the book “Constitutional Leadership: Inspirational Expressions”, published by the Raj Bhavan Information Cell. The book compiles the Governor’s addresses in the Assembly sessions, along with his speeches delivered on State Foundation Day and Republic Day.
Additionally, a coffee table book titled “Ek Shaam Sainikon Ke Naam – 2025”, prepared by the Uttarakhand Sainik Punarvas Sanstha, was also released. The book documents and preserves the diverse activities of the events organized on Armed Forces Veterans Day at Raj Bhavan Dehradun on January 14, 2025, and at Raj Bhavan Nainital on June 11, 2025.
The program was graced by the presence of former Maharashtra Governor and former Uttarakhand Chief Minister Bhagat Singh Koshyari, former Chief Minister Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’, Cabinet Ministers Ganesh Joshi, Subodh Uniyal, Satpal Maharaj, Members of Parliament, MLAs, senior administrative officials, and other distinguished guests.
