Visit Begins with Worship at Ancient Shiva Temple; CM Yogi Participates in Mahayagya at Ancestral Village Panchur

The sacred land of Yamkeshwar witnessed a unique blend of spirituality, cultural heritage and developmental vision as Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami jointly toured the region and participated in a series of religious, educational and development-oriented programmes.

The visit commenced with traditional prayers and rituals at the ancient Shiva temple in Yamkeshwar, where both Chief Ministers prayed for peace, prosperity and public welfare. On their arrival, District Magistrate Swati S. Bhadauria welcomed the dignitaries.

Later, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited his ancestral village Panchur and participated in the Shri Vishnu Mahayagya along with family members and local villagers. Addressing the gathering, he expressed gratitude to the temple committee and local residents, stating that what once existed only as a symbol of faith and devotion three years ago has now transformed into a grand and magnificent temple. Inspiring the youth, he said that a positive mindset is essential for success in life and that spirituality and devotion to God provide the strongest source of inner strength and positive energy.

Development Projects Inaugurated at Bithyani College

Both Chief Ministers later reached Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath Government College Bithyani, where they inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for several development projects. Students welcomed the dignitaries with traditional cultural performances and ceremonial honours. The leaders also paid floral tribute to the statue of Guru Gorakhnath.

In a significant step towards modernization of education, the Chief Ministers digitally launched the college’s new AI-powered website. Trilok Chandra Sharma briefed the audience about the functioning and features of the platform. The event showcased the practical use of digital technology when CM Yogi Adityanath personally interacted with the AI bot to review the college examination system and results, while CM Pushkar Singh Dhami discussed student enrollment, skill development and academic activities through the AI interface.

During the programme, the newly constructed college building and seminar hall were also inaugurated. The book titled “Viksit Bharat: Ek Sankalp” was formally released on the occasion.

Bithyani College to be Developed as a Model Institution

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announced that Bithyani College would be developed as an “Ideal College” equipped with modern educational infrastructure. He also announced that construction work for a mini stadium in the region would begin soon, reaffirming the state government’s commitment to providing world-class education and sports facilities to the youth.

Praising CM Yogi Adityanath’s leadership, CM Dhami said both Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand are working together towards cultural harmony and regional development. He reiterated that the Uttarakhand government is committed to ensuring the benefits of welfare schemes reach every citizen, especially those at the grassroots level.

Fitness Message Through Open Gym Inauguration

To encourage youth towards health and fitness, the two Chief Ministers inaugurated an open gym on the college campus. Both leaders personally exercised on the gym equipment, delivering a strong message promoting healthy lifestyles and physical well-being.

The leaders also inspected the land earmarked for the proposed stadium project and assured residents that the construction work is in its final phase and the facility will soon be dedicated to the public.

Among those present on the occasion were Cabinet Ministers Satpal Maharaj and Dhan Singh Rawat, former Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat, local MLA Renu Bisht, Director of Higher Education Dr. Anand Uniyal, Senior Superintendent of Police Sarvesh Panwar, Chief Development Officer Girish Gunwant, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Chatar Singh Chauhan, College Principal Dr. Yogesh Kumar Sharma, BJP district president Rajgaurav Nautiyal, along with officials, teachers, students and local residents.
