“A New Chapter of Healthcare at the Summit of Devbhoomi”

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Friday inaugurated the Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) Hospital at Kedarnath Dham, marking a significant step toward strengthening healthcare services in the high Himalayan region. The hospital will be operated by Swami Vivekananda Health Mission Society.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said that the state government is continuously working to provide better and prompt healthcare facilities to pilgrims visiting Kedarnath Dham. He stated that in the challenging geographical conditions of the Himalayan region, the establishment of a modern hospital equipped with advanced medical facilities will greatly strengthen healthcare services for both pilgrims and local residents.

Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the government and district administration are giving top priority to health infrastructure to ensure a safe, smooth, and well-organized pilgrimage. Adequate arrangements have been made along the yatra route, including deployment of doctors, paramedical staff, health screening centers, oxygen support systems, and emergency medical services to ensure that devotees do not face any inconvenience during the pilgrimage.

The Chief Minister reiterated that the state government is committed to realizing the vision of a “Healthy Uttarakhand, Prosperous Uttarakhand” by continuously expanding and modernizing healthcare services across the state. He informed that around 6.1 million Ayushman cards have been issued under the Ayushman scheme in Uttarakhand so far, enabling lakhs of patients to avail free medical treatment. He also said that efforts are underway to establish a medical college in every district of the state.

During the visit, the Chief Minister also offered prayers at the shrine of Baba Kedar and prayed for the prosperity and well-being of the people of the state. He said that Kedarnath Dham is not only a center of faith but also a symbol of service and humanity, and the government is working with the same spirit to strengthen healthcare and public welfare facilities in Devbhoomi Uttarakhand.

On the occasion, MLA Kedarnath, Asha Nautiyal said that the hospital is a remarkable example of service, dedication, and public welfare, which will play a vital role in providing quality healthcare services to lakhs of pilgrims and local residents in the future.

Among those present at the event were Sanjay Khanna, Dr. Krishna Gopal, Suresh Soni, Dinesh Chandra, Hemant Dwivedi, Vijay Kapruwan, Pt. Rajkumar Tiwari, Vishal Mishra, Niharika Tomar, and Colonel Ajay Kothiyal along with several other dignitaries.
